Louisiana’s Marc Broussard carries his Southern soul like a badge of honor. His album’s title, Carencro, is actually the name of his hometown, which is ten minutes from Lafayette. With influences ranging from Stevie Wonder to Brian McKnight, the self-proclaimed “white boy singing soul music” delivers a powerhouse of raw emotion laid on a bed of catchy pop hooks.
