on the liner notes of this tribute album. The 17 tracks here may not equal the
force of The Band’s originals (yes, a tough assignment) but it’s interesting
to hear the different approaches taken by artists ranging from kindred bands like
Blues Traveler (“Rag Mama Rag”), and Gomez (“Up On Cripple Creek”)
to Steve Reynolds’ daring acoustic take on “Stage Fright.”
