Good Shoes By

Think Before You Speak
(CD
Brille)
The Good Shoes latest
release, Think Before You Speak, is an excellent release from the staid complacency
of modern musics mediocrity. With fast, quirky songs, the UK bands
latest is reminiscent of The Cures first album, Three Imaginary Boys.
Good Shoes are well on their way to becoming an antidote to all things emo. The
longest song clocks in at 3:39 and you really dont need any more that that
to get the point because its perfect as is! They consist of four members:
Joel Cox (bass), Rhys Jones (vocals/guitar), Steve Leach (guitar), and Tom Jones
(drums). According to their MySpace page, they like to dance, drink, draw,
and pretend to be on a mobile phone whilst they are not. In particular,
Rhys Jones quirky vocal delivery has given the band a distinct signature
that few modern bands possess. Standout songs on this album include: The
Photos On My Wall, Things To Make And Do, Small Town Girl,
and Everybodys Talking About.
