The String Cheese Incident By
Untying The Not
If you haven't
jumped into the jam band scene yet, hop in with these guys. Their soaring guitar
solos, strong backbeats, humble harmonica, cheerful vocals, rowdy Rhodes and
bass holding down the groove, they will surely have you bobbing your head and
humming along. The String Cheese Incident seems to run the gamut of musical
styles with country vocals, tantric tones, laid-back rock jams, spoken word,
and even a techno Irish jig on "Valley of the Jig." This album is
full of fun surprises sure to have your friends asking you "who is this?"
about 3 times during the album. They span a diverse range of genres for a sound
that is all their own. Untying the Not is good for cruising with the
top down, a late-night chill out session, and everything in between. This record
shows that the String Cheese Incident is not an incident that happened by coincidence.
And, you will not want to burn this one because Alex Grey's psychedelic cover
art is just as niftily ornate as the album.
